Josie Maran Argan Color Stick($22) is a sheer buildable cheek & lip color, available in two shades, Petal Pink(Peachy Shimmery Pink) the one that matched my skin tone and Rosy(Dusty Rose). It's Infused with Argan Oil, (a lightweight old, grown in Morocco, that is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids) gives you a fresh dewy look & nourishment. I use my fingers to blend the color to my cheeks. Petal Pink is a shimmery shade but the shimmer isin't gritty. 

I found this cream color stick to have more staying powering when I prepped with my primer, it is not the most long lasting when worn by itself. The stick has a strong scent that takes a bit to fade but I don't mind it.  I also love the rose gold casing that gives it a very classy look.

The Argan Color Stick is also recommended to be used on lips. But if you have very dry lips this may not be the best option and also since it has shimmer it tends to accentuate dryness.

I abosutely love that her products are not only good for your hair and skin but for the world we live in : )

In Honor of Earth Day-My Favorite New Product Is...

Since Earth Day is on Sunday, April 22 naturally I'd like to share with you my new favorite product...

Vegan Nail Lacquer in PROVOCATEUR

I discovered this yesterday while trying to decide which product to write about.  And it couldn't come at a better time.  Recently, I have stopped getting Shellac/OPI Axxium manicures because even though I loved that my manicures lasted a little over a week, I didn't like the process of my manicurist soaking and scrapping off the old polish destroying my nail bed.  I aslo didn't like that after my manicurist massage my hands with lotion they were drier than I have ever known my hands to be!  

Intuitively I knew it was those UV Nail lamps, which I also loved because I have the patience of my 2 years old, but I knew something about those lamps wasn't right. So I did a bit of research and sure enough there is a lot of controversy out there about the matter.  Some dermatologist reported possible skin cancer because the UV lamps can act stronger than the sunlight on your hands.  Some say, not the case.  To me, there was enough info that warned me to listen to my gut and go back to the good old regular manicures, sit my butt down and enjoy the process of drying my pretty nails.   

SPARITUAL is an amazing pretty line of eco friendly, vegan beauty products that finally addressed my concerns about not only my nails looking pretty but the environment.  I like the rubber top "Plum Cap" non-slip, making it easier to open and handle along with the bottle, made in italy from useable glass. The formula is naturally colored and free of synthetic dyes.  Actually it's free from the following: DBP, FORMALDEHYDE, TOLUENE...I don't know too much about the damage of these chemicals but I do know, long term exposure or high concentration can eventually lead to some form of cancer.  Clearly bad for your healthy and the environment.  

In all realness we have all be exposed to these chemicals before on some level.  However! We learn as we grow and hopefully make better conscious changes.  Awareness is key.  But it's nice to know that beauty companies like SPARITUAL is making a difference on how we look, how we feel and how we can make with world a better place.
