Back to my Roots in the BX for Mom's Night Out!

It was so great to be back in the Bronx, the borough that contributed to the well-rounded, strong woman I am today.  And even better to be a vendor at the 1st Macaroni Mingle: Mom's Night Out!!!!

Nearly 200 Mom's attended the event at F&J Pine Restaurant, kids free and ready to release they're multi tasking lifestyle and just enjoy a night out.  The place was surrounded with a variety of vendors offering massages, health products, bags, jewelry, yummy cupcakes, a tarot card reader, which I kept hearing from woman visiting my table, that she was dead on with her readings and had a line of Mom's waiting!!.  There was even a Zumba instructor that gave us a taste her classes and Pure Romance products to top the night off and continue it at home for part 2! : ) : )    

But what made this night especially sweet was seeing my good friend of many years, Bronx Assemblywoman Naomi Rivera.  The pure joy of the surprised look on her face when we saw each other was amazing!  She truly is an Angel, heaven sent in my life. 

She recognized the efforts of the incredible 3 Mom's that organized the event - Christina Cepedes, Rebecca Borrero and Geanine Petraglia and made it official In New York State with a proclamation. Making May 10th,  NATIONAL MOM'S NIGHT OUT, "A celebration of Motherhood".  What an awesome, most deserving honor!

I wanna thank you ladies for not only being an inspiration and reminding us we can do anything, but also creating special, beautiful moments in celebrating motherhood. I look forward to being a part of this awesome National event next year.  You Mom's ROCK!
